How much capacitor is used in the filter circuit of the power supply?

When I was designing recently, I used 0.1μf capacitors for the power filter circuit, but someone told me to use 0.01μf capacitors. This is why, don't general circuits use 0.1μf capacitors?

Power supply filtering requires large capacitors with small capacitors.

It can be seen how large the frequency of the clutter is, and how large the filter capacitor should be used. If you don’t know the frequency of the clutter at the filter point, a large capacitor is generally equipped with a small capacitor.

The location of the capacitor is close to the location you need to filter, such as the two ends of the IC power supply, the input end, the output end, and the DC small signal feedback end. If the capacitor is placed far away from the location that needs to be filtered, the filtering effect will become very poor.

The size of the capacitor is related to the frequency of the filter. Use 0.01uf to show that your frequency is a bit high. Small capacitors filter high frequencies.
