On August 17, analog IC manufacturer ADI announced the results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2022 and looked forward to the performance of the fourth quarter. It is worth noting that ADI mentioned in this latest earnings report that "economic uncertainty is beginning to affect booking orders". It also said that market demand continues to exceed supply, resulting in a backlog of orders that are still increasing.

ADI said it achieved operating income of $3.1 billion in the third quarter, with double-digit year-over-year growth in all end markets, with record-breaking revenue in industrial, automotive and communications. Fourth quarter fiscal 2022 revenue is expected to be $3.15 billion (+/- $100 million), and it is expected to report an operating margin of approximately 33.7% and an adjusted operating margin of approximately 50.3%.
