Voltage regulator output current.

What does the output current of the regulator specifically mean? I see that the IC’s specification says "300mA output current", does it mean that the maximum output current is 300mA?

If I connect this regulator to 4 ICs, can each IC consume 100mA? If you connect two such ICs, can each consume 100mA current?

The situation of 4 ICs depends on your voltage regulator, either it is turned off, or it only transmits 300mA current, or it transmits 400mA current and burns out.

In the second case, if the thermal performance of your components is good, it is directly rated at 100mA.

This is obviously the maximum value, which can also be said to be the rated value. If it exceeds it, it will not work properly.
