I am making an infrared sensor. I use TI's particle sensor TIDA-00378. Their design only uses one photodiode. I want to use several photodiodes and connect them with several emitters to include Larger area.
Can this be regarded as a photodiode? Can this be regarded as similar to the principle of a differential amplifier?

Because you cannot guarantee that it is exactly 4 times the sensitivity, you do increase the core area by paralleling, but you cannot guarantee that each core parameter matches.

If you connect in parallel, the capacitance will increase and the response bandwidth will decrease. Why not use a sensitive photodiode?

I think we can consider finding a way to concentrate the light on a photodiode.
