Why can mobile phone chips keep low power consumption?

Now the number of Apple's a12 transistors has reached 10 billion, and the number of transistors is not lower than that of x86. Why can it still maintain low power consumption, while the power of routers that also use ARM cpu is getting more and more?

No matter how many MOS, static electricity will not consume much power;

Power consumption is the flip speed * quantity

Those who have made low-power MCU products know that if the idle IO is set to the floating input state, the current of the whole machine will increase when the hand is close.

But even if the mobile phone is working at full load, its power is much lower than that of the desktop cpu. Even the cpu on the router of the same architecture, the power of the mobile phone is much lower.

And now the mobile phone cpu performance is quite powerful.

The mobile phone has been playing games and surfing the Internet, and the power consumption is as great.

Routers have high power consumption. First, power consumption is not a major consideration. Second, the router is already busy and runs at high speed.

The mobile phone is running at full load, and the power cannot exceed 10W. Desktop CPUs with the same number of transistors are all tens of watts.

There is also control on the program driver to allow the chip to enter low power consumption and reduce the operating frequency.
